I am a student in College of Medicine, and I would like to thank the Middle East Children’s Alliance for supporting me and standing with me to achieve my childhood dreams. I dreamed of becoming a doctor to alleviate suffering and help people who are sick. This dream grew inside me up until the day I finished high school with 96.7 percent average on my exit exams. My grades allowed me to apply for the Medical School. I applied to be a pediatrician so I can help children, and draw smiles on their faces, relieving their pain.

You can’t appreciate something sweet unless you have experienced the sour, and I have suffered many hard times. My family is a simple one, my parents never finished their education but they planted the seeds my siblings and me to seek education. They wanted us to have what they couldn’t.  My family has experienced difficult times, especially when my father was arrested by the Israeli Occupation.  Our family was affected a lot, losing a financial resource. This threatened the possibility of me finishing my education. I was very scared, but retained a hope inside of me, determined to finish my education. I am now in my fourth year, moving in the right direction to achieve the goals of me and my family, to obtain a certificate that will help me serve my country and my people. I would like to thank you for your support, and to ask you to keep standing me and my family. I ask for you to continue to support me and my family to help me to finish my education, to become a doctor.
