After a storm hit Lebanon earlier in January bringing snow and rain, 15 families from Syria living in tents in the Bekaa Valley faced an emergency. Their tents were flooded. MECA and our partner, Al-Jalil Association, quickly jumped in to help.

We provided new tents, mattresses, blankets, and foods. Al-Jalil Association hired five workers to build the new tents and another organization stepped in to pour cement floorings.

MECA and our partners in Lebanon are also providing warm winter clothes for 500 children, heating fuel for 500 families, and handmade wool scarves, hats, and gloves for 500 families during this winter.
