In 2013 MECA's partner Madaa Silwan Creative Center produced a video to raise awareness on arrest and detention of Palestinian children in East Jerusalem. Listen to the children from Silwan talking about their experiences of arrest and detention, the fear they live with, the rights and hope they continue to hold on to.

An Israeli government report released on May 19 claims Israeli occupation forces did not kill 12-year-old Muhammad Al-Durra and that he may not be dead at all. Credible human rights organizations disagree.  Jamal Al-Durra, Muhammad's father, responded: "Israel says my son isn't dead. Can you imagine how this feels for a father who has lost his child? They have all the technology tools in the world. He's not dead? Then bring him to me."

Infographic Marks 65 Years of Nakba

May 15th marks the 65th anniversary of the Nakba - when 750,000 Palestinians were displaced from the territory that became Israel. In 1948, more than 50% of the entire Palestinian population was ethnically cleansed. In commemoration of the Nakba, and the displacement that continues today, Visualizing Palestine released 'An Ongoing Displacement'. The new visual quantitatively catalogues the multiple dimensions of Palestinian displacement and loss of land.
