As the New Year begins, we want to express deep appreciation for your solidarity with people in Palestine, and extend our best wishes for you and your loved ones in 2026.

You supported MECA’s work to bring basic necessities for survival to people in Gaza every single day in 2025. You also brought moments of happiness to Palestinian children—when they put on brand new winter jackets, sang traditional songs with their friends, entered a newly built classroom, or tasted a fresh apple for the first time in two years.

It is hard to say “Happy New Year” while the genocide continues to unfold in Gaza in the most brutal ways, and violent dispossession and ethnic cleansing escalates in the rest of occupied Palestine. Instead, we’ll just say, many thanks and “Free Palestine!”

In solidarity,

Abdelqader, Aed, Ahmed, Ali, Amal, Bassam, Christy, Deborah, Eman, Ghada, Jackie, Jamila, Jenine, Josina, Majed, Mohammed, Mohammed, Mohannad, Mona, Nancy, Nesma, Patrick, Radwan, Rand, Samia, Sophie, Waed, Wafaa, Yousra, Zak, and Zeiad
