I urge you to, please, take just a couple of minutes to watch this video about the destruction of children’s schools and the long dangerous routes they have to walk to reach school now in the West Bank villages of Masafer Yatta.
For forty years, the people of Masafer Yatta have been the target of settler attacks, land confiscation, the destruction of homes and schools, military raids, arrests and detentions. They are denied many basic services from running water to electricity. Last year, after an Israeli court order, bulldozers entered several of the small, rural communities in Masafer Yatta, smashing homes and schools to rubble.
Still, the people remain steadfast on their land and fiercely committed to the education of their children. What they need right now is your solidarity and support.
We’ve raised nearly $14,000 since I sent an appeal to you a few weeks ago. I believe we can raise another $11,000 now to reach our goal of $25,000—when you join hundreds of other MECA supporters and make the most generous contribution you can.
Your donation will help to renovate 10 caves to create homes and schools and provide tents and electricity generators for the families in Masafer Yatta.
Shukran (Thank you),

P.S. The people of Masafer Yatta want to stay on their land and continue farming, raising livestock, and educating their children. Israel has already taken or destroyed so much. That’s why they have come up with this amazing plan to turn natural caves into places to live and to learn. Today on Land Day, as we remember all of the Palestinians who have been killed trying to protect their land, please stand with the families in Masafer Yatta against Israeli Apartheid and violence. Many thanks.
