Dear Friends,
Please take just a few minutes to watch this very special short video about Palestinian children in Gaza returning to school after two years of genocide.
These kids—who have lost homes, parents, friends, and any sense of safety—have also lost two precious years of education. Last week, MECA and one of our Gaza partners, opened a new elementary school for 240 children in central Gaza.
For two years all schools were closed, and hundreds of school buildings were destroyed during the ongoing Israeli genocide. Now, thanks to the generous support of you and other MECA supporters, these children have daily classes in Arabic, English, Math and Science.
The classroom furniture was built in Gaza using pallets and other recycled materials. The woodworkers are part of a vocational training program for deaf people. Schoolchildren and their parents also take part in psychological support projects and special activities at the school.
Please watch the video and make the most generous contribution you can afford.
P.S. You understand that the Israeli genocide has slowed but it’s not over, and everyone, especially children, have lost so much. Please share this video and message with people in your life that may want to support MECA’s work with children in Gaza.
