Join MECA for this important virtual event! Two leading voices in Palestine will share analysis, visual presentations, and stories from Palestinian communities on the ground.

Jamal Juma is the coordinator of the Stop the Wall Campaign. He organizes against Israeli apartheid locally and internationally and recently worked on a set of maps outlining Israel’s annexation plans and the Palestinian communities that will be impacted.He contributed to the founding of the grassroots National Committee for Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) in 2005 and is a member of the secretariat of the Committee on behalf of STW. In 2013, he helped establish the Land Defense Coalition (LDC), an umbrella working to enhance coordination and cooperation between grassroots movements, initiatives, and organizations and expand the popular grassroots base.

Diana Buttu is a Ramallah-based analyst and lawyer specializing in negotiations, international law and international human rights law. She was also part of the Palestinian negotiating team that assisted in the successful litigation of the Wall before the International Court of Justice. She frequently provides analysis and commentary on Palestine for international news media outlets such as Al Jazeera, CNN and BBC.
