Destruction of the Madaa Silwan Creative Center

I am writing to express my dismay about the February 13, 2012 demolition of a community space in Silwan, East Jerusalem. The Madaa Silwan Creative Center built this “cultural café” with funds from international humanitarian organizations to provide a recreation area for children and youth.  I am a supporter of the Middle East Children's Alliance in the United States, which contributed to this project.

I strongly urge you to insure that the rights and property of the Madaa Silwan Creative Center and the entire community are protected, as required by international law.
